However, in the 21st century, the concept of “e-sports” has firmly entered our world, at first glance it’s a completely stupid and “childish” idea. Well, judge for yourself: some nerds shoot at tanks or drive at DotA, is that really a sport? Nevertheless, such events attract millions of fans and are broadcast almost through federal channels, make big bets on betway esports; in this world there are heroes, commentators, international tournaments and, of course, money.
According to a report posted on the website of SuperData Research, a company engaged in researching the digital gaming market, in 2015 the cash turnover of the e-sports market reached $ 747 million. Moreover, according to the company's employees, by 2018 this amount will grow by 150% and amount to about $ 1 9 billion
So, last year, the Dota 2 prize fund amounted to $ 25.9 million. This amount was collected by the championship organizer, Valve, by attracting investors, selling advertising during the tournament and selling virtual and real tickets to everyone. Moreover, when buying a ticket (it doesn’t matter, real or virtual), the holder, as a rule, relies on a certain amount of in-game bonuses.
Today I’d like to talk about mobile apps in combination with business, and why you should consider building a mobile app for your own company.
If you think that mobile apps are solely for big name brands like Walmart and Bank of America, you are wrong. More and more small and midsize businesses are following the mobile trend, understanding that an effective mobile strategy involves more than just a mobile-friendly website.
